Factory fitted Bonnet Stripes

Has anyone got the part number for the factory fitted bonnet stripes? The white ones with the black edging?

Thanks

Factory don't fit stripes. They will be fitted by the dealer like aerokit.

When I order my Cooper in the dealer told me that they order the car without them and they fit it.

When I visited the Plant Oxford factory for a tour back in April this year there were definitely no cars coming off the end of the line with bonnet stripes fitted. I can only assume that they must therefore be fitted after dispatch from the factory, either at the dealers or at the distribution centre. In the UK there is a distribution centre in Doncaster where the cars are inspected/tested before dispatch to the dealers so maybe the stripes are fitted there if they are not fitted by the dealers?

According to my dealer they're fitted at the distribution centre, which is now located just up the road from the factory in Oxford.

They leave the factory without the stripes, have them fitted at the centre, and are then sent onto the various dealers ready for their PDI so that the customer can pick the car up - assuming of course you've not gone for any additional dealer fit extras.

Question

Does anyone know if It will be a future plan from MINI creating longer stripes that doesn't leave the ~0.5mm space, upper and bottom when fitting them?
Thanks in advance

Not sure if it is Thorne (Doncaster) that fit factory stripes, but some dealers do fit their own to help with parts sales.
All MINI's still go to Thorne for further distribution to dealers, BTW.

We here tend to use the S stripes for all cars. They're slightly longer so on ONE and Cooper go to the edges of the bonnet.

£22.01 each including VAT, although any dealer worth their salt can tell you all that.

Hope that helps.

The 0.5mm gap is deliberate. If they are right on the edge they will be more likely to lift.

I think that It's a mistake and not a deliberate matter. They just want to get rid of the stock
