| MINI2 Regular | HELP : Auxiliary Driving Lights costs Mini dealers seem to be making up the labour charge for fitting these lights as they go along. One dealer has quoted me £145 for the lights and £200 to fit them My local dealer charges the same for the lights but wants £250 to fit them. What is the norm as the MINI website states 2 hours fitting ... if that's the case then thats £125 inc. vat per hour labour which has to be a record!!! If you have these lights please could you post what you were charged for them and where in the UK you got them done. I am based in Richmond, Surrey. Offline | My local franchise says they need two hours fitting at £150/hour! I've told them they must be kidding. This is BMW West London / MINI Chiswick / Park West, where I have vowed never to return to because of their stinking attitude. Chin up folks! ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | Getting less expensive Had driving lamps fitted a couple of years ago - came in at around £500 inc labour (bill wasn't itemised so no idea of material/labour breakdown). Waiting for new MCSC (roll on Jan14) and will be adding driving lamps to spec - if price all in is less than £400 will be a relatively happy bunny... Hussah - £380 quid all in, maybe a set of 4 lamps is in order, though I rekcon this may render the car visible in adjoining counties at night..... Last edited by garyjp : Dec 16th, 2004 at 12:24 AM. | MINI2 Wannabie | If you're willing to do some DIY fitting I'd reccommend the MiniSport Spotlamp kit, I got mine off the website for about £180, fitted myself. I upgraded to a set of Cibie Tango spots a month or so ago and its the greatest. Comes with an excellent set of instructions, but you will have to have access to a good few tools and kit to fit them properly. Loosemoose Back, and more unique than ever! |

Offline | Been phoning around around west London. Cheapest was £350 (Cooper Cobham) all in for two, but the winner(?) is 'BMW Thames Ditton' They quoted £560ex VAT for the labour alone!!!!!!! Was thinking of getting another quote for something a little more complicated, just for a laugh. |
