United-Kingdom Signature decal removal

Got my new Cooper 3 weeks ago. Came fitted with bonnet stripes. I have fitted JC signatures myself. But have made a bit of an *&^*$! of one of them. Anybody any idea of an easy way to remove the signature without messing the stripe? Help will be greatly appreciated.

It probably won't cause any damage. Just pick it off slowly and clean the glue off with a dab of white spirit.

Use a hairdryer to heat up the decal first - but not too hot! Then CAREFULLY scrape it off of the stripe using your fingernails or a credit card.

No don't. You'll heat the stripe aswell and it will soften meaning you might pull up the stripe with it.

I strongly suggest you take it to a professional body shop and pay the $50 (US) to have it done right. Don't screw up your stripe!
