Talking Exterior Door Hinges?

Here's the prototype of the exterior door hinges we have been working on...I will post a couple of photos.

Please give feedback!

Really not bad !!
I like the looks... makes the side less flat

How are they mounted?

Before anyone else asks ....
Are you gonna do them in chrome also?

Yep, quite like those. Better than the prototype model version you did a while back... Now, what about chrome?

the MINI has gone...

One further question, I can't imagine the door opening very well with these fitted. Can you post a picture??

the MINI has gone...

Oh yeah chrome

We will do these in chrome eventually. They are mounted with simple double faced tape and they clear each other just fine when opening the doors. It took quite a bit to get them lined up just right with the proper clearance and such.

Its a fun little deal...I think perhaps we have a hit!

Yeah maybe ...

I think you'd better put a detailed manual in the package too
If I read what difficulties you had with lining them up

Those look good. Not really my thing, because I like the 'flatness', but I can see the appeal. Very 'classic'. Would look great in chrome tho!

I think Foliatec have chrome stick on faux-hinges. They also do stick-on rivets if thats your thang!

I'm surprised Mr Monsta hasn't popped down to his Ripspeed dept in Halfordss to buy up their stock of chrome stuff!

Hmmmm,

Now they're chromed Minty they look weird! Looks like another set of door handles!

I like them body colour, but maybe on a lighter car they'd look better in chrome.

Thumbs down Totally Bogus

Fake hinges? C'mon! If you want a classic Mini, just buy one... you'll get external hinges and rusty exposed body seams at no extra cost. Sorry, but I think the new MINI ought to stand on its own merits, and fake add-ons are in very poor taste. Having said all that, you'll probably have trouble keeping them in stock
