| my ponies have escaped!!! | it literally sticks on over the original black/chrome slat (depending what you have) with 3M tape - ive used some rubber bath type sealant to ensure no water leaks thru and also to prevent the thing flying off! Think it makes the car look classy ![]() but then im biased ![]() m o n k e y : n u t s |

Offline | I just finished fitting the Aero grilles on my 2005 Cooper. A bit of a job, with a *lot* more trimming than I thought (I think the 2005 MC front end needs more trimming than previous years), but definitely worth the effort. To those apprehensive about removing the front apron -- don't worry about it -- it is very easy. Now that I've done it once, I'm sure I could do it again in about 3 minutes. Initially, I was going to fit the Aero grilles as an interim step to getting the entire Aero front apron, but now that I see it fitted to the stock front end, I like it as-is. Offline | That does look good kent99 ![]() I might take off the bumper again and paint the metal piece that shows through the lower part of the aero grill. It just looks a bit light as it is. Anyone know what paint to use? |

Offline | When i dremmeled the bumper it was for the tabs on the lower grille. I guess you could revert back to the Stock grille however you mite under really close inspection see the groves that were cut. |

Offline | I just got off the phone with my dealer and they stated that they would take to a body shop to get the job done. So if your not handy and do not want to take the risk, call your dealer. estimated price would be $200 dollars more or less parts and labor. |

Offline | I would suggest saving your money and attempt yourself. Check everything twice as you do it and you'll be fine. All I payed was £50 for the grilles and £5 for the black spray paint and thats it. ![]() |

Offline | This was a pic that MINI-DESIGN sent to me to confirm what hey can do. The folloing is an extract from emails exchanged with MINI design regarding prices, fitting etc. "These parts are a BMW item and cost £80 for both! We can get them and fit them for you if you require............ The grills take about an hour to fit as they need to be bonded on to you bumper. BMW deliberateley make them non interchangable! .....Fitted price £100" |
