Does anyone know if it is possible to convert a standard petrol cap to a chrome style Cooper S cap? Is it a dealer fit and does it have to be done at the time the car is bought?

it is possible but don't think the dealers are too keen. someone was quoted £135 without fitting!!

Parts are around £55 from dealer including spray paint or ebay and cool new do the already sprayed for £60-85.

Look at my gallery to see mine. I bought parts from dealer sprayed it myself and fitted it. There are numerous threads on here about fitting them if you do a search. Can send you the full instructions if you PM me your email. Takes about 1-2 hours.
