Run-flat tires.....

Do I *have* to have them if I buy the 'S-lite' rims?

Would ordinary rubber fit ?
I'm thinking of getting a set of Falken tires as the Pirelli run-flats tires just cost too much imho...

Cheers!

If you're buying them from your dealer after buying the car (i.e. not including them in your spec) then you can buy them without tyres and get the tyres fitted yourself.

You can put any tyres on as long as they're the right size

the MINI has gone...

ADO15,

I take it that you have a spare tyre or the MINI Mobility Kit. MINI Emergency Services and any other breakdown organisation would probably charge you if you needed to be recovered home as you don't have a "servicable spare" or equivalent. At £1-2ish a mile thats a lot of bucks for no spare!

My car came with a spare
As I Got the Chili-pack *without* Run-flats... Got the dealer to deliver the car on studless wintertires instead.
