Offline | L.E.D. side lights Yes I know there's a few threads on these already, but no one has conclusively come up with what's right and wrong to go with the new xenons So after looking on ebay I've found 3 possibilities, has anybody tried any of these and if so which should I get if any The first one isn't an LED, just a white bulb1 2 3 |

Offline | that 2nd link- ive got the frosted white ones there. they're pretty cool actually. they look quite purple on their own which isnt so good, but when the xenons are on, they match pretty well. ive had the mini design ones too (the 25 quid ones) and they probably have the coolest light, i'm just too tight to go and buy another set of them! |

Offline | ps, im on my 5th or 6th set of sidelight bulbs, and i definitely think the leds are the best match. im just not so sure about them because as they use a lot less power than normal bulbs to light them, they flicker momentarily every few minutes when the mini's security does a wee check to make sure nothings astray...if you can put up with that, then go with leds! |

Offline | The mini-design website says Innovative and new product from PIAA. Ultra-bright twin LEDs transform the sidelights into mini-spotlights I've looked at the PIAA website and found this http://www.piaauk.com/bulbs/bulbshow.asp?ID=led I've found the H263 for $18.99 (£10.24) here http://www.ttstuff.com/Merchant2/mer...ode=PIAA-19263 and having just read the description again,This new LED Wedge Bulbs has newly developed by PIAA. Never been used before technology, this is 2 LED light each bulb, that's right TWO. Therefore it will give out twice as bright as the regular LED wedge bulb. This bulb has a built-in electron resistor, so the bulb can last, not like the other cheap LED wedge on the market. This LED wedge bulb features the never fade color. These sound like the same ones from mini-design, which are the ones available from http://www.speeding.co.uk/acatalog/PIAA_.html Think thats clear now I would order from the US site I found, but they want $22 (£11.86) for shipping ![]() Thanks everyone for their input on this, i will be buying from speeding.co.uk ![]() |

| Maxin' and Relaxin' | dont get the 1's in the 3rd ebay link: as i found out today there too fat to fit the mini when you try n put it back in the lense!! never mind only ordered 1 bulb instead of the pair by mistake so no big loss. ps. MickyD, are your bulbs the blue or white ones? Last edited by Fizzle : Nov 17th, 2004 at 06:09 PM. |

Offline | I'd be very interested to know what you think of your bulbs when you get them, and maybe a photo would be good. The mag light option that site offers is of interest too, my mag light is very dim considering the ammount of batteries it takes (5 of the biggest ones!) Very well priced too! I'm breakin' her in officer...........Honest! |

Offline | I bought some "Prism" LED's from Halfords at the weekend. Distributed by Ring the same as the Second Link on the first post and the same as JPSMini has on his sig. Have to say I was very dissapointed, love the colour but they are actually dimmer than the original 501 bulbs. I only wasted £8 so I'm going to try the other site and get the 5 LED number (4 white and one blue) If they fit! I'm breakin' her in officer...........Honest! |
