United-States Deciding on aftermarket chrome mirrors

Excuse me if this has been covered before. I noticed that the aftermarket chrome side view mirrors are installed by just sticking them on the original mirrors. I was wondering if anyone has done this and if so how did the mirrors come out looking? Pics would be helpful. Thanks.

The stick on ones look pretty horrilble when installed as there is a gap around the edge and you can see the orignal mirrors beneath..I would purchase the real replacement units that MINI makes. They are a direct replacement and fit perfect. Installs in a couple minutes.

enjoy!

Wombat,
I specified chrome mirrors on my new MCSC which I picked up on Yuesday, thought you might like a pic showing what they look like with Purple Haze paint.

Thanks for the pic. I will be adding the chrome mirrors to my MCS in the spring.
