From chrome to black

I am in the middle of changing many of the chrome parts on my car for black. What options do I have regarding the chrome line exterior on my ONE (The bumper parts on the front and back)? Can I just remove them or will I need to get black replacements?

I know black inserts are available but am I right in thinking that they are matt like the lower trim?

Any advice appreciated
