| MINI2 Regular | Aero kit spoiler Righty, On my Cooper, i have the aero kit, which looks stunning. Anyway, ive seen people talking about the aerokit spoiler. I have no spoiler on mine, well only what looks like the standard Cooper lip. which is cool. Is my car missing it, or is it an optional part of the kit, or something completley seperate from the aero kit? Id post a picture of my motor, but its very very very dark out there rob 2004 Cooper - Indi Blue, White Roof, Aero Kit, Driving Lights, Harman Kardon. - *SOLD*:Flash Red: SEAT Leon Cupra R - woooosh |

Offline | if you already have the smaller non areo kit spolier fitted you cannot have the areo kit one put on as they are glued in place and not bolted on to do this you would have to repace the entire back pannel of the boot |

Offline | Hi charlie are you sure - I did a search on this and apparently the chili spoiler is held on with two bolts and sticky tape, and others have successfully swapped from chili spoiler to Aero. Here's a thread I found: http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...t=Aero+spoiler |

Offline | tis a weird thing me thinks cos my cooper has no spolier on it but i whanted to put the cooper spoiler on and bmw dont (apparently) fit them only done in the factory and i was told that they are all glued on but was quoted £255 for fitting the areo kit one by north oxford dealer which was quite good but a little advice for any one doing a home job the glue to fix them takes 24 - 36 hours to fully dry and has to be done and left in doors until its dry incsee our lovely british weather stikes for those without a grage not advisable ![]() |

Offline | Ok just spoken to my dealer They reckon that somtimes the Chili spoiler is factory fitted with two bolts and sticky tape, if this is the case it will be 3 hours labour £105 However sometimes the factory use glue as well as the bolts which means Chili spoiler will need sawing off which means paint work on the roof - 6 hours labour £210 So total cost could be £260 (ok) or £365 (a bit steep)! Going to inspect my spoiler with my tool kit to see what fixing method I've got - let me know anyone if you think my dealer is talking rubbish... Also considering facelift chrome grille - about £140 for all bits including fitting not sure if its worth it....hmm there's always my Egg card... |
