Mini owners in Lancashire, England (or nearby) - need your assistance!!

I'm browsing through the Feb 2005 issue of GoMini magazine, and have noticed the two page ad by MiniSport on pages 14-15.

I really like the Lexus chrome rear lights on page 14, and I have emailed MiniSport to find out the following:

- is the advertised price of 89 GBP for a pair of those rear lights, or just for one piece?
- will they ship to Canada?

A few days have gone by, and I haven't heard back from them . I was wondering if any of you have bought from them, or whether it's a local call for you, if it wouldn't be too much trouble for you to give them a ring at 01282 778731 to get the answers to the questions above. The MiniSport part# for this is ECP478120031.

If anyone can help me with this, and post a reply here, it would be most appreciated! If any other MINI2 sponsor carries these lights too, please mesg me, I'm not fussy about who I get these lights from, as long as it's from someone who sponsors MINI2.

You can see these rear lights on a black Cooper S on page 48 of the GoMini Feb 2005 issue - I think they look sensational.

Best regards (and thanks in advance),

Milliethemini

MiniSport don't seem to have a good reputation for customer service. There have been other threads about them.

I used them once, but won't do so again.

They didn't acknowledge the order, and when it hadn't arrived after a couple of weeks they were very offhand when we rang up to chase. We didn't hassle them, but ,just asked if they'd got the order.

They were out of stock, but weren't impresssed by our suggestion that it would have been nice if they had phoned, faxed or written to let us know that there was a delay.

Just my personal experience.

Send a message via MSN to Damo
It'll be 89 for the pair, i believe the reason theyre cheaper than the offcical lights is because they use the original bulb housing.

Update - I got an email response from MiniSport over the weekend, a very nice one from the sales manager no less, with the answers to all the information I was looking for. The only bad thing is that the cost of shipping is almost as much as the lights themselves!!!

Oh well, I think I will check and see if anyone else in my Mini club here might be interested in getting these rear lights also, that will help bring down total costs.

RedMini and Damo, thanks for your feedback, much appreciated (as least I don't have to pay the VAT because the product will be shipped outside the UK, if I do order it)
