| Still kickin' along | Hi All.... I have a Nov 04 DS/B MCS.... I just recieved my car back from my local BMW paintshop today with a fresh aero kit on it...and the arches, skirts and grille colour coded.... Because I spent so much time looking for pics and threads about the topic, I thought I'd throw my pics up for the world to see, as well as the key words in the thread title to assist someone looking for this particular topic.... hope this helps: http://www.mini2.com/forum/showpost....postcount=7532 happy modding! ![]() |

| Still kickin' along | yah...I was going to get matching mesh for all of the grilles, front and back, and then fit it all...but I got lazy and finally put the stickers on the back....I hate to say it, but it actually looks sort-of OK... ...just don't look toooo close you could, I suppose, cut out the bumper where the inserts go, and put mesh behind them....if you're going to do that though, I'd say that you'd have to do the front three grilles as well to match....I'm sure it'd look really good....minisport have some demo cars with after market mesh....if you did it for all the grilles it could work.... edit: the main thing that dissuaded me from doing it though, was that there was a good chance that a homemade mesh job wasgoing to look tacky, even disasterous.... Offline | Nice one TIT. My MCS on order is the same colour and i'm getting it all colour coded as well. I'm also getting BMW to retrim the seats in "Alpha Red" leather. I'm told that Blackman and Sons have never done a mini in Aus yet so it should look nice. Damn this waiting....it hasn't even been a week since i ordered it, and i'm getting edgy...lol. |
