Is it easy to add 2005 chrome 'bumper' strips later?

If opting not to get the chrome package on a regular Cooper (not S), but later wanting the narrow strips on the front & back bumper...is that easy to get & do?
Has anyone added this later?
Costs? Thanks in advance... :-)

It was certainly possible on the pre-facelift models, by getting the chrome strips, cutting off the tabs, and effectively glueing them onto the bumpers. I would have thought the same or similar applies to the new bumpers, but it's probably more tricky. What's more is they're not cheap from MINI (the pre-facelift ones weren't anyway). I was told the back chrome strip was something like £50! It's not even chrome, it's plastic!

My advice would be to get the chrome line exterior option. It's not that expensive, and it's unlikely that you'll later wish you hadn't got it, but if you don't get it, it's likely you'll wish you did get it. IMO, it finishes off the bumpers nicely, especially on the facelift models.
