Is it much of a job to mod the old style rear lights to fit the new spec?

I already have a set, if you were prepared to, how much would it be 2 mod mine to get them to fit?

Cheers

Mikeythemini..What he (antsmini) said! Do you need to be a genius to put these in? (in the '05 that is) I don't think the Mini-warranty-police will yell too much if we installed those, would they?
Thanks in advance for any help with these great looking lights!
