![]() Resident Panpsychist | That seems dear, indeed! I'm calculating that $350 AUD is about $275 USD. I purchased the two grilles for about $80 USD. Perhaps they were quoting the entire front bumper cover...painted...with grilles? (and a case of Yellow Tail's finest?) Classic MINI in the US has great prices though I don't know the how the final cost would be affected by an international purchase. Good luck, my friend! | MINI2 Regular | Thanks mate that sounds alrite I can spare $175...but not $350 as quoted by my dealer...wat a rip off when u said 'the middle parts' does it mean only the black mesh thing? isnt that what we're all looking for in an aero grille? the bottom grille..does it mean the one on the bottom part of the front bumper? Also regarding the fitting..I read somewhere that it needs a little modification to the factory bumper..can any1 show me the thread? How to remove the front bumper BTW? any1 has the step by step instruction? thanks guys |

![]() Resident Panpsychist | Yes, indeed! The small grille area in the bumper needs to be reworked and the small aero grille edges that fit against the bumper need to be cut-down. HERE is a link to a PDF file on the Motoring File site that shows what to do. HERE is a thread I started on the North American Motoring Site that explains some more detailed procedures for modifying the bumper and mounting the small Aero Grille. The first post has pictures of the finished product. WARNING: This modification requires a Dremmel tool, precision, patience, tranquilizers, and a good half to full day of careful work. DO NOT DRINK BEER WHEN DOING THIS MODIFICATION! Theo ![]() "The nice thing about Alzheimer's is you get to hide your own Easter eggs." - John McCain |
