![]() Taller Than You! | I've got the full aero kit and on washing at the weekend i'm noticing more and more white specs appearing on the front aero bumper. Theres the odd minor chip on the main body but that doesn't show white. I think i've read before something about the aero kit paint being thinner, sometimes sub-standard compared to normal body work. Theres loads and loads of tiny white chips all across the front. Anyone else had this problem with their front aero bumper? And has there been any solutions, not tried colour magic or anything yet. I have some touch up paint but i'd be there all day! |

| Cruising In The Minge | My front aero bumper is absolutely peppered with stone chips. You can fix it without respraying, we have a company here called duco magic that puts a coloured paint protection on and they simply vanish. Im waiting for the guys to come do mine. Im sure you will have similar companies in the UK. ![]() 2002 PS/PS JCW MC 1970 BRG/W MK2 Morris Cooper S |

| Still kickin' along | when you say they vanish, what do you mean? it prevents them, or the current chips are hidden? Is that WA company, or national? I got my aerokit painted after delivery at a non-mini BMW dealer....they did a good job, and I'd be interested to see how it fares... I already ahve two small chips on my rear left colour-coded arch as well.....spoke to etel about ozi-cozi, but he said they don't provide warranties on after-market paintwork.... dunno what to do...probably take the car to a paint chip remover annually.... Anyone else have any suggestions...? |

| Cruising In The Minge | by vanish i mean undetectable to the eye. I was quite intrigued by this so contacted the company about a franchise so i could get the inside info on what the score is. Service from head office has been pathetic and for $28K for a franchise I would have expected more..anyway back on topic. They guard the technique for dear life and wont give me any more info so I just went down to a local area where there are heaps of caryards and just drove around them till I spotted a guy doing it, went over and had a bit of a look. I am waiting for him to get back to me as to when he can fit me in, will let you know how it goes as its an international company..here is their site www.ducomagic.com.au Jason ![]() 2002 PS/PS JCW MC 1970 BRG/W MK2 Morris Cooper S |

![]() Taller Than You! | It is annoying to have to have it eventually re-sprayed. I presume everyone elses body work is ok, just the aero parts that chip easily. It just suggests to me that aero bumpers paint is not the same standard / thickness as the normal bodywork, surely it should be? |

| Cruising In The Minge | well i have just had my stone chips fixed up without respraying Unfortunately i didnt get any before or after pics but for $70 to do entire front bumper, stone chip on roof, scratch on driver front arch, driver door and passenger sill is pretty good in my book. Looks much better than it did, almost like new again..very happy indeed. The website again for any aussie folk www.ducomagic.com.au For the other folk..apparently they are looking for technicians in other countries so flick them an email they may have someone in your area already. ![]() 2002 PS/PS JCW MC 1970 BRG/W MK2 Morris Cooper S |
