I bought a Cooper S Convertible on the 1st March, and it didnt have the Cooper S fuel cap. I have bought one off the web but I dont fancy fitting it myself! Does anyone know anywhere around the Shrewsbury area that would be able to fit this without charging the earth and whilst doing a good job?

There's some photos on here showing why (cut out photos) the S convertible doesn't have the S cap. Basically on the Convertible's cap is lower and moved slightly due to mechanism of the hood being just behind that area of the car. I'm not sure you'd be safe to fit the S cap, sure they would have done if possible.

I have just rang up coolnew.co.uk and they say they cannot be fitted to the convertible, BMW are looking into making one but they arent available yet.

Has any 1 ever got a Astro Black Cooper S Cap?!
Guy seems to sell them so I presume he paints them himself-so debating on wether to buy 1 of him or not?

Hi,

Does anyone have instructions for installing one of these to a cooper/one, I got mine in the post this morning, and have not got a clue how to install it. Have looked for a guide on here, but the site they all link ot doesnt seem to be working.

yeh s cap dosent fit the convertable because of the hood mechanism, i had my s cap fitted by the dealer to my cooper altho it is quite easyto do yourself... have to take the plastic inner arch off and access the bolts from there...
