Got my custom roof design

I started a poll to determine my custom roof design:
http://www.mini2.com/forum/exterior/85239-help-me-choose-my-roof-graphic-my-own-designs.html
But 534 viewers and 49 voters isn't really something to comply to

So I got roof design number three, here it is. The Dutch airforce signs. I liked the fact that they are really Dutch, and the MINI sign looks like a wing and the BMW sign represents a propeller because BMW started out making airplane engines, so enough analogy and history there. LOTS of people turns their heads, and I get a lot of positive responses.

Update: added a picture of my car in front of a Dutch Airforce plane.

I think its suits the cars colour very well
... but for some reason I liked the Dutch Lion Better

How much did it cost to produce the design in the end ??

I got it from a fellow member of the Dutch Mix Mini Club (MMC) who works at a company specialised in creating decals for signs. He charged 150 euro's but I think he will charge more for the next one, it took him four hours and I got the best vinyl with 12 years color guarentee. He did an excellent job with good advice to get to the optimum end result. Here some more pics of the process:

With Plane

Here a picture of my roof design with a Dutch Military plane (I think the Hunter, not sure). Unfortunately I had no ladder in the Mini to get my roof more visible

As you can see the decals are not exactly the same, I added a personal touch by switching the red and blue. Don't ask me if it was intentional or not, but nobody noticed so far

England shame

just seen the options you offered in your poll. It's a shame that you didn't go for the scattered chequer, it looks great !!

I'd have gone for the three "XXX" AMS sign myself ;-)

What does the "XXX" AMS sign look like, picture? Or is it really tripleX (18+). The scattered chequer I thought would look a bit to crowded, instead there is one more circle than in the poll design and I made the chequers in the back all black, it still looks great in real life. I'm planning on going to the German 'Verstrahlung III' meet in Düsseldorf 28th/29th of May, they will take a picture of about 150 Mini's in the Mini-IG logo from a helicopter, I hope my Dutch design will stick-out between all the Germans

It's the Amsterdam City coat of arms. I've always wondered if that is where the term "Triple X" came from though.

Any Dam site will have the image on, although if you are dutch you'll surely know what i mean.

NL Rocks !!

Berthil - The roof looks great! I picked the two tone silver one but the one you chose really goes well with the car colour.

I was afraid the grey would look a bit dull, I expected the grey to match the car color more too but it doesn't matter that the blue in the decals are not the EB in the car, it goes as you say well with the car color. Looks even better in real life

The guy who made the decals did not recommend the EB as the blue decal color, it will never match the EB of the car because it is a different material and the EB looks different depending on what lighting conditions there are.
