Offline | Cooper S filler Cap on Cooper/ONE Hi, I have recently got my mitts on one of those cooper s filler cap conversion kits for my one, and would like to fit it. Does anyone know where the instructions are online, or does anyone have a pdf/word document of them. The DIY section thread has a dead link, so was wondering if anyone can help. If you can, please post or PM me, JP PS if it's a file that you want to send, then PM me for an email address. Cheers |

Online | Well found mate. Those posted above are the instructions I used. I didn't remove the wheel or loosen the gas filler. It wasn't fun I started to regret the decision half way through but it was too late. I think the new gas cap looks brilliant but it was the scariest conversion I'e done so far! Requires alot of patience and brute force. Try not to snap the new plastic housing. I did when forcing it back into place. If you scratch the underneath paintwork down to the metal cover it with nail varnish (good to be a girl) or touch up paint to stop rust forming here! Good luck its really scary when you first look at the plastic housing thats existing in your car at the moment you don't know where to start. Definately use the credit card advise you need to pry alot toget it out! Hope this helps. PM me if you need any more help! |

| Rockin' up the Rift ! | Yeah good luck with it. I've done it and as said above it's quite scary at times. Be very careful not to scratch the paint work i ended up getting a small flat bladed screwdriver and putting a bit of tape over then end of it just to stop it marking the paint. a old credit card or bit of flat plastic will help with leverage too. When you are trying to get the old cap out just go very slow and take your time. You will hear little clicks as you work round the edge.. I got mine out in one piece but snapped a bit of the S liner getting it back in around the filler neck. Also even though you loosen the filler neck it doesn't move that much. It's one fiddley job. Take your time ! ![]() ![]() Soon be Christmas ! |

Offline | Just to add a little balance... that PDF makes it seem really hard but I found it fairly straight forward. I didn't remove the wheel and found fitting the aero grille to the standard ONE bumper much more difficult. Good luck with it ![]() |
