How To Disconnect Centre Rear Brakelight Electrical Connection?

I've been istalling the red and clear rear clusters and a clear high level brake light - I have installed the clusters successfully.

I have removed the high level brake light, but for the life of me, I can't get the electrical connection disconnected from the old one...........

Is there a knack, or something I'm missing?

Brute force, or is there something to unclip?

Any insight would be much appreciated..............

It is a bit difficult but there are two little latches you have to press in whilst pulling them apart. Took me a fair bit of effort.

you have to push in the little dimples on the connector and pull at the same time. quality connectors designed not to come adrift you see

Thanks Damo - I'm running out of light at the mo anyway - I'm disconnecting from the brown end cos that matches the configuration for my new light - ie I seem to have to plug the brown wite termination into the new socket on the new light?

Soft little fingers....................

I'll have to get the sledgehammer, or cut the wires and join them back up with a bit of insulating tape............
