United-States Chrome Bumper Inserts

Hello all, this is my first post here. I just picked up my 2003 Black/Black Cooper this weekend and have been throughly enjoying it.

I bought this car used and it seems that one of the chrome front bumper inserts has been scuffed a bit, and was wondering if it is fairly easy to replace with a new insert. If this is possible... who would sell this part and for how much? Thanks in advance.

No idea on the part number or price, but you should be able to order the part. I think the Cooper chome pieces are a little tough to get off, but it should certainly be possible. I assume you can order the piece from any dealership. I prefer Classic MINI in Ohio because they offer discounts and are well versed in shipping parts all over the country.

Sorry I can't be more helpful! At least you have a reply now...

You need to remove the front bumper (not very difficult, there are guides on here somewhere). The inserts are hld in place by glue that is dribbled over the prongs that push through the bumper. You need to remove the hardened glue with pliers then tug them out. Your dealer will know the part number. If you need further advice let me know (I just replaced my chrome ones with black inserts, front and back).
