Offline | boot handle removal im planning on getting the boot handle painted black (just got the hood scoop done the other day).. i was wondering if someone has instructions on how to remove the plastic handle. Is this easy to do ? ~thanks |

Offline | It's VERY easy to remove. There are only four small torx screws that hold it on. Simply undo the screws and pry it genly off the boot. Note that there's a foam seal stuck on the back of the handle (to keep out the water). It should come off just fine, but if it gets torn up a bit, you can always buy a replacement one. Once you have the handle off, simply unplug the connector for the license plate lights and the boot release button and that's it. I hope this helps some... |
