Help! need help asap!

Hi, just parked my new cooper s outside my girlfriends house. Turned off the lights, shut the door and locked it and the side lights are still on. Went back to the car put the lights on, turned them off and they are still on. Turned the car back on lights on, off, locked it, still on. Now is this something it's meant to do or is my battery going to be dead tomorrow? Please help!!!

It was both side lights that were staying on. Just ran back to the car and they have now turned themselves off. Hope it was just some parking feature type thing. Anyone know anything about it as i would like to put my mind at rest, cheers

might it be the follow me home lights? if you flick the stalk before you turn the lights off, they stay on for a bit.... have done this many times by accident....

Are they stock lights or have you had LEDs fitted, as these tend to stay on and fade.

Ah, I have just fitted PIAA side lights the other day, i guess that was the reason. Is it ok that they do that, not going to drain the battery too much or whatever???

This is an extremely easy problem to fix:

All it means is that you left your turn indicator on. I have done this 1000 times when I exit the vehicle, I grab hold of the steering wheel and accidentally hit the turn signal. Just center the turn signal and it should be off. Just to make sure that this is the problem, next time you turn off your car, turn the singal just like you were making a left right turn and check and see if the light is still on. Then go inside and adjust it back to the center to make the light turn off. Good luck
