Drilling Rear Bumper PDC holes

Hi There All,

WANTED : MCS Dark Silver Rear Bumper with Park Distance Control holes.

I have been looking on eBay for a while now but only standard Dark Silver rear bumpers have been or are on auction at the moment.

Willing to wait should someone with a car on order be replacing theirs with an Aero kit.

I am looking to pay around £ 100.

Thank you.

Drilling??

You learn something new every time on MINI2...

Is this easily done?

Are the holes marked on the inside of the bumper for you to be able to know the positioning of the sensors?

Thanks!

If I knew, I'd tell you, but I'd suggest starting a thread in the 'Exterior' forum ... somebody in there is sure to know...

Not sure if they are marked - some cars are pre marked.
Otherwise you could measure a car with it at the dealer.
Then its just a cone shaped drill bit (& file for fine tuning the holes)

Most retro fit PDC kits on Ebay come complete with a drill. Look under 'Reverse Sensor'

Radar

What about installing an aftermarket version that uses Radar. It is just one little black box and mounts behind the bumper cap. No one will ever know it is installed.
