Offline | Definately leave as is, chrome looks great on a Cooper. Tigger. Hold it, not so fast. I've just looked at the photos in your gallery and it's not so obvious. You need to either add more chrome elsewhere (side vents, Cooper S filler cap etc) to balance the chrome out a bit, or make the centre of the grill black as you suggest. As to which to do don't ask me, I'm a chromaholic, so you won't get any unbiased advice from me Tigger. ![]() Unintimated and I'm back!! ![]() For sunshine, fun and Cornish Pasties: New MINI Kernow Cornish Oggy Run 2009! |

Offline | I say go for it! If it looks good post some pictures. I was thinking of painting all the external chrome bits(including fuel cover) to match the black or at least a tinted black. Matt black should also look ok. I am anti-chrome too. Will have to wait till it comes though...this wait is killing me DanC |

| MINI2 Regular | That's my second option. I checked the price of MCS grilles and it sets me back abt AU$150 without painting. Painting it will set me back another $40-50. But if I can take off the factory grilles myself and ask a bodyshop to paint them, then I only have to pay for the service and the paint, which is arnd $40-50 Any1 here has a step-by-step instruction of how to remove both the front grilles? Thanks |

Offline | I have a BRG grill with the chrome surround that I removed when I installed my aero grill. Want it? Not that it would look good with your black car. That would be interesting. Go all black. Skip the chrome. Dain |
