United-Kingdom Carbon scoop for cooper s and lighting.

Seem to be having a bit of trouble with parts at the moment!

What i want is a carbon fibre bonnnet scoop for my cooper s but not one with the huneycomb in it but the one in which you can put your hand through. I have tried minispeed and lohen but both out of stock and unsure when to expect any.

Second is the 3rd high level brake light, i have the 2 normal white lights but i cant get hold of the high level one.

If anyone has any of these parts for sale and cam pm me i will see if we can get something sorted. I have paypal and stuff so it should be straight forward. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
geoff

If all goes well soon to have a GTT 210bhp !!!!!

Geoff,
Have you considered the JCW Carbon Fibre Scoop?
It should be available from your dealer, and is very good quality.
I have attached an image from my Black/Black MCSCa

I paid $235.00 for it here in Illinois, which equates to £123.68 at Fridays exchange rate.
I don't think you would be looking at much more, although you would have the dreaded 17.5% VAT on top of that so that would bring it up to £145.33 by my calculations.
It is a good piece of kit, and with the JCW Carbon Fibre Boot Handle it looks the "dogs".
I think I paid $168.00 (£88.42, or £103.90 inc. VAT in the UK) for that item.
Then, of course, you can always include the CF mirror covers (I didn't do that as my wife and I are ex-pat Brits here, and don't mind flaunting the Union Jack covers!)
One thing to consider is that CF weave varies slightly from one manufacturer to another, so it just may pay to standardize on one supplier if you are considering adding bits in the future.
Here's the Boot Handle shown installed

If memory serves me i think the JCW carbon scoop is £168 fitted from JCW. Think that's right but not 100% sure. I can't decide whether to fit one to my car or not NOt really in a position to get one at the mo, so a bit more time to decide!

Don't bother getting it fitted, do it yourself.

Its 4 bolts. Takes about 5 mins to do.

Just make sure you put a large cloth over the engine bay to stop you dropping the bolts in there by mistake.

Damo,
You took the words right out of my mouth!
Maximum of 5 minutes each for both the scoop and the boot handle, and I concur completely with the need for something over the engine!
I can't see either of the items costing at net of VAT more in the Uk than over here in the US; after all there is less shipping cost from Oxford to Lincoln than from Oxford to Chicago!
