hey people,

just wondering what peoples views are on these, looking to get some new wing inserts and don't really want the shark gill ones as everyone else has them but admitidly they do look good, would like something diff though

don't really want the flame versions either cause well....its flames

so i was thinking about these, haven't seen em on a mini and can't find a pic of a mini with em on either, so can't be 100% sure it would all go together!!

what do ya reckon?

Jury's out on this one I think!!!
I can't decide either, could look godd but could look tacky, it's one of those items you need to see on a car!
There is always another option you don't see very often, the top one
Kind of Cooper S style but without trying to make it look like an S
Happy hunting and deision making, hope I helped rather than hindered,
Cheers,
Matt

Yeah I just noticed that....£80+....you can't see that in 'em but they always say quality comes at a price haha
Could always go for the S ones, they are going on eBay for around £15 buy-it-now!!! Bargain!!!
The only other option I've spotted is some chrome inserts for the black grill that give the same look (well to an extent!!!) as the top item but at a fraction of the price, and removes the hastle of having to change the whole piece of trim!!!!

Here are a few more pics of the crossed chrome side grills, some on a Mini (unfortunately the shots are a bit close up to see the full effect!!!!)
Happy viewing anyway....

haha nah i could never go for the S ones, it would be v wrong

i think i may just shop around for those top ones though, i do like em actually, would look quite neat

i think the main problem with those mesh ones i posted first is that there are no curves there at all and the mini is a very curvy car, might look really out of place......or they might look really good, lol if i could only find a pick with em on a car

anyways, i am gonna go think this over while sleeping

cheers

Nick

EDIT - just seen your last post, hmmm they do look kinda neat actually

I reckon if you are getting the chrome scuttles for under the windscreen then the crossed chrome side grills may complete the look and match in pretty nicely!!!!!
Keep me informed of what you decide and what the finished product looks like
If you need any more opinions, you know where I am

the moss ones are more classy, those are the ones I put on my GF's cooper, the mesh ones edge on the side of rice, but not as much as the flame ones

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

England Spot Lights.... no problem!!!

Not to sound like an eBay nut, but if you fancy some hella spots instead of the OEM ones, check these out....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...sPageName=WDVW

Hella's for a bargain price, don't see that very often!!!
Cheers,
Matt

Hella's are the Spots to have

brighter, stronger, and no rust like the MINI ones

Had them on my last MCS

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

Hey Rakey,
I have the original OEM spots at the moment, could I wire in the Hella's to the existing wiring and onto the existing brackets or is it not as simple as that?!?!
Any help much appreciated,
Cheers,
Matt

aah your a true star matt!

reckon i should get them hella's then eh??

and wa hey they are only in gloucester as well so i could prob go pick em up!!! sorted

it says they don't need enabling by the BMW dealer, but i spoke to the dealer today to see what price he would quote me, which was a massive £391 supplied and fitted OUCH, and he said the reason they need to mess with the ECU when they are fitted is so that if they ever encounter a problem then it will show up on their computer.......so i am guessing these would need to be done as well eh?

the hellas just splice into the standard wiring of the headlights, so no dealer programming or need for the standard wiring loom

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

Squire,

Here are 2 before and after pics with the Moss type vents.

I really love them because the pattern retains the stock look but with the enhanced appearance of the MCS with chrome.

PS - You have to get the white side turn indicator separtely though.
