Clear Film : Price vs. Protection

I am thinking about getting the Autobahnd Roadblock film protection for the front end of my MC. The dealer says it will cost $595.00 for parts and labor. Is it worth it? Just wondering if it is a fair price for the product?

Having NOT fitted one, I rue the day as ole PKT RKT sure has a bunch of battle scars on its front. As to price, well, I have seldom seen it for less than that.
Hope this helps

Shop around. I had the 3M clear bra installed (whole front inc lights and mirror caps) by Mini of Murray for $450.00. Definitely worth the cost.

It is definitely worth it. Have a look at minis without it and see the amazing number of stone chips, easily in the thousands. I got autobahnd when I bought my mini and didn't get a single one.

When my hood was replaced, and I could not afford it again, I instead ordered from auto clear guard, check in NAM for discounts. It is not as good as it doesn't go to the edge but it is much cheaper.

The dealer I am looking at also uses Autobahnd. I am wondering how much it will show on my Astro Black MC? I have only seen it on a blue one so far.

I want to get the Autobahn but the dealer wants $1000 installed.....waaaay too expensive. If it was $500, I would have taken it. So, now I'm looking else where for something similar.

Shooler, how has your 3M film doing? I called up a local shop and they didn't recommend it on a mini since it has so many curves on the front.

The 3M film is doing great. The fit is great and it hasn't lifted anywhere, even with frequent washing. BTW- beautiful car Zero G. My original spec was an 05 MCS in Hyper Blue. If only I was willing to wait... (loving my Pure Silver MCC though).

Thanks for the info. I found a certified 3M installer in the area, so I'm having him do it for like $500.

Thank you for all the help. I'll have it installed when my MC is delivered in a couple weeks.
