United-Kingdom Help in fitting spoiler

Please can anyonehelp me with fitting a cooper spoiler to my one i am a bit unsure as to were to drill the two holes to be in the exact spot for the threaded studs, if i remove the two grommets from inside the tailgate top and drill in the middle of these two pre cut holes would they be in the correct spot ? or can you advise another safe method as i dont have a template. many thanks.

That's exactly what you need to do.... drill in the centre of the holes in the back of the boot lid. I fitted an S spoiler to my one. Place a 10mm socket from a socket in the hole and tape it in postion this will reduce the hole that you have to find the centre of. Make sure you use a brand new drill bit so you get a nice clean hole. Also use a drill bit that is 2 or 3 mm wider that the thread of the spoiler bolts as they aren't parallel to each other so you need the holes to be a bit looser to get it in place. If you need any more help just ask

Another tip. Drape lots of sheets or towels over the paintwork of your car... you don't want any metal shaving anywhere near your paintwork
