Question Just an aero back end?

Had the misfortune to get rearended by an 18yr old pratt. Only had my black MCS for 2 weeks.. sob.

The good news is that the BMW/Mini approved repairer said that he would put an aero rear on at no xtra cost.

My question is this.. do you think it would look wrong withougt the rest of the kit?

No it will look fine, especially cos it is black you wont notice, the only people that will notice are ones that know about mini's. Ure average person on the road will never know.
I have the cooper rear aero and cooper s skirts and it looks great, no-one realises there should be matching skirts apart from me! Go for it, u can always add the rest of the kit afterwards if you dont like it!

Cool thx - have just rung the repairer and told him to go ahead.

I think I was pretty jammy getting him to fit the aero at no cost. I would have thought it was more expensive, specially as it's an option from new!

To be honest he is charging you more than he should because aero bumpers are actually cheaper than standard ones. I know its sounds stupid but its true.

I had a feeling they would be.

I personally think it would look odd. Sorry not a fan.

I'm not a fan of the aero rear bumper too. Did you know the steel mesh inserts are really vinyl stickers and are known to release themselves? Bad.

Thats really odd. I got my MCS second hand (only just 4k miles ), I thought the aero kit was an extra cost option from new! It features so heavely in the S-Works brochure, I thought it would be a sought after item.

Maybe I was a bit hasty... still no turning back now s'all ordered sigh...

If you change your mind Deeps and your insurer refuses to change it like for like, I've got a spare Cooper S back-end in Solid Black if you want it.

Only thing is tho, its got a small mark on it where the paint has flaked a wee bit ( I must have damaged it whilst cleaning it last summer).
It has been sitting in a box since then so if you're interested, let me know and I'll get some new photos taken so you can decide if its worth the extra hassle or not.

I am quite a fan of the aero rear myself, hence me putting it on my MC, just like mr rayman
If you think it looks odd without the other bits, then why not add the other bits?!!
