Offline | Is this a good price for Aero kit from dealer? Hi all, I'm getting the Aero sideskirts off a user on this forum, already sprayed in Hyper Blue, for £200. My dealer if offering to supply and paint the rest of the kit (i.e. front & rear), and fit the lot (including the skirts) for £1000. So in total, I'll be paying £1200 for the whole kit fitted. This doesn't seem like a bad price, but when you consider I'm saving myself ~£300 on the skirts, it looks as though the dealer isn't giving me any discount whatsoever, as the list price for the whole lot is £1500 I believe. So do you lot think the dealer is taking me for a ride, by asking for £1000 for the rest of the kit? |

Offline | Thanks for that. So what sort of price do you think I should be aiming for? Also, what's the name of your dealership? (Just so I can use you as ammunition! ) |

| Man in the know! | if you order the parts painted to code from the factory (4 weeks lead time) the fitted price is approx £825 for the front and rear bumpers, inc fitting your side skirts. (depending on your dealers labour rate). I suspect that your dealer is ordering primered ones, and the extra money is for spraying to Hyper Blue for you. You may want to clrify that with them... |

Offline | Ok, thanks for that. I'll give them a call this afternoon. But that's a bit strange, because they've told me they won't be able to get the parts until the end of September, which is much longer than the 4 weeks lead time you mention (but then you say you reckon they're getting primered ones, which presumably should arrive even sooner?!) |

Offline | good advice from Minty as per normal ![]() the full list price of supplied and fitted by my dealer for an aero kit is £1100, so considering you are already supplying the skirts, which my dealer normally charges £450 to supply and fit, your dealer is really taking you for a ride ![]() might be cheaper to buy and fit yourself, the skirts go on fairly simply, the bumpers can't be that hard ![]() The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive? ![]() |

Offline | Hi Martin, Are you saying that dealer will still be able to offer me the whole kit at the price listed in that thread?? To be honest with you all, I'd prefer to get it all done and sorted through the dealer that I'm buying the car from. i.e. Pick up the car of 1st September all ready with the whole kit fitted, rather than running between dealers etc. However, they're going to give me they're final price for the kit tomorrow, so if they're still taking the wee-wee, I'll definately look elsewhere. ![]() |

Offline | they will certainly give you a good price if you speak to Dale and tell him you have got his details from MINI2, and you already have the side skirts that someone else ordered. They are one of the few dealerships that I have found that are good to their customers and will deal on prices for any parts ![]() Give him and call, check out the prices on the bumpers, and remind him of what he was charging others if he says higher ![]() The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive? ![]() |

Offline | I know this thread has been "dead" for a while, but anyway... I am in the process of spec'in my new cooper S. Went round to a few dealers over the bank holiday weekend. The dealer choice is not yet made, and partly depends on what they offer as px price on my current car. But now to the point. One dealer quoted £1,762.50 (incl. vat) for the aero kit fitted. Yes that is onethousandsevenhundredandsixtytwopoundsandfiftype e.... I was stunned. Especially when you consider the kit is £975.00 and Mini quote 2hrs to fit... Jako |
