Offline | Boot Bonnet Stripes Greetings, First post prior to actually receiving my '05 Cooper S Chili Red on 10/1/05 (CAN'T WAIT!!!) I don't see boot bonnet stripes as an option from the dealer, how do I get something that matches the front stripes? Restless in Phoenix |

Offline | I got some totally fab matching stripes (bonnet and boot) from Cooper Flags. It's a lot cooler than getting them from the dealer because you can mix and match your own colors. I got black stripes with a dark silver edging (for my PS MINI Cooper). My installer said that cooper flag vinyl was higher quality and more durable than the factory stripes. I was happy to hear that, but the initial reason I ordered them from Cooper Flags is because I wanted boot stripes, and I couldn't get them through the factory or dealer. |

Offline | I just picked up my MINI 3 days ago and am having great fun. My wife wants to put stripes on now after looking through the forum. I checked cooperflags and we decided what we want. We'll order tomorrow. My question is, I was quoted 75.00 USD for installation from one of the recommended on cooperflags site, is that reasonable? |

Offline | Is the $75 just for installation or is that for stripes and install? I did my bonnets this afternoon and it took under 2 hours to do it. That included detailing my interior and washing the car before I put the stripes on. I bought mine from mightystripes and paid $38 with shipping. The only other thing I had to buy was an X-acto knife. Its actually really easy to do. Since you put the stripes on while the car is wet..and I actually put a soap water solution on the stripe as well (very thin coat), you can move the stripe around untill it is perferct. Hardest part was making the two dead even, just took a little practice. Then all you have to do is squeegee it , wait a little bit, pull the coating off and trim...easy |
