My car has 18" wheels (with 215/35/18 tyres i think?) and is lowered 30mm, absolutely no problems with scuffing/rubbing under normal driving conditions or with steering on full lock.

The JCW's are a bit different than your ordinary 18" with them being an awkward offset requiring a steering lock limiter and 40 profile tyres theres often more chance of them catching the arches!
