Offline | Hi everyone, Ever since purchasing my used 03 MCS the headlight aim has been a little off and I have been a little hesitant about adjusting them myself. I have read all there is to read on this site about adjusting headlights. But seeings how the nearest dealer is four hours away I figured tonight I would give it a try. Well while attempting to raise the passenger headlight something snapped inside the headlamp assembly and now the headlight will not move with a turn of the adjuster screw. And NO I did not overturn the headlight adjuster screw it was turning freely before something broke. The screw turns but the headlight doesn't move one bit. Is there anyway of opening these headlights up and seeing what has obviously broken? Or am I stuck with a poorly aimed headlight until I cough up a cool grand for a new headlight? I am ****ed off but not too ****ed off, because I figured I would be replacing the headlight anyway sometime down the road. It illuminates intermittently and the previous owner warned me about it. Warranty repair on the headlight is probably out of the question because the car was involved in a minor collision and I hear that voids the warranty immediately no matter how bad it was. It was a very minor hit in the front end. Why did I buy a car that was involved in an accident you ask? Because the deal was too hard to resist and the car looks and drives like new. The only problem is damn headlight started to not work a few days after I got it home. OH WELL! Anyway I hope someone can help me out here. Thanks alot for all your help in advance and by the way this is a kick ass site! Please do not post something like oh you should have not purchased a wrecked car, they are nothing but problems. I don't need to hear crap like that. |
