Hi,
Took my Cooper in for a service last week and they didn't reset the service indicator so now when i turn the ignition it flashes up with 'service -250 miles' in the display in the center of the speedo. I spent some time working in a mini dealership as part of my apprenticeship but can't remember how to reset it!
I know that if you hold down the button in the speedo whilst you turn the ignition it brings up tests 1-19 or something like that. Im sure you have to go into one of these tests to reset either the service indicator or brake fluid change indicator but i can't remeber which one!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can't you just shout at your dealer and get them to reset it as they should have?

Suppose i could but can't be arsed to go back to the dealer! Oh well suppose i'll have to if i can't find the answer on here..............nevermind, theres some great litlle country roads to throw it round on the way!

key off press button, turn key to first position, test comes up, continue to hold until serivce indicator comes up, left off button and then again push back in, when you see rst flashing, let off and once more press the button the indicator then resets
