Passenger Seat

the passenger seat of my mini is stuck in one place, and when you sit on it and Lean back it will go back slightly, i went to BMW they said the part to fix it was £100 plus 2 hours labour plus vat making it £300 for the repair of a seat..

has anyone else had this problem before? is there a way to take apart the seat and look at it?

it odd it on my drivers side ages ago but i managed to click the lever back into place or something nd it worked again.

I assume your warranty has run out....?

My wifes MCS has its front seat stuck in one place (fairly well forward). Its going to need a new mechanism - nothing is repaired these days) and as its stuck in the forward position, its going to be a devil to take out and replace, as you need to move the seat backwards and forwars to get at the relevant bolts - a minor design flaw there I think.

Costs quoted would seem reasonable in my opinion (well, expensive but not surprising, if you see what i mean)
