Exclamation Polarized Sunglasses and NAV

I finally got my Cooper yesterday. Now, here is an interesting new little issue....

I now must to purchase new sun glasses! My Favorite pair of Polarized Sunglasses are almost exactly 90º off the Polarization of the LCD Screen for the Navigation system. Unless I tilt my head while driving (ouch)! I cannot see the screen! It is completely black.

Of course, there can be no fix for this, other than replacing my glasses!

WHAT???? I was just about to get the lenses in my Juliet Oakleys replaced again but with polarized this time. So is it any polarized lenses or a certain brand/type??
Cheers Limey.

Cheers Limey.

I suggest you forgo the change to poloraized lenses on your Oakleys if you wish to see the display of the NAV.

I believe that all polorized glasses have their angle of polarization set to best reduce glare from the sky. I have never seen a pair (other than the ones you get at a 3D Cinema!) to have any other angles used; it is a standard.

I'm still shopping for a new pair that I can live with! In the mean time, cheap glasses!

The problem is the polarizing filter on the LCD screen. The same thing happens with a lot of wristwatches and other devices with a polarized LCD screen.
