complaining to the dealer about my squeaky seat, they said that they had been told by BMW that the fix is now to totally replace the back of the seat and have ordered me ( and a few others I gather) a replacement seat back.......

thought y'all would like to know...

The passenger seat of my MINI experienced a similiar problem. The inclination of the backrest of which just cannot be adjusted. The dealer said that half (I can't remember whether it is the upper or lower part) of the seat had to be replaced. I have waited for a month already.

My mini paeesenger seat also stuck at a 45 degree inclined angle, it was like this for about 4 weeks.

I then asked them to put it into an upright position as I realised that any passengers could recieve severe whiplash in the event on an accident. They adjusted it, and it works fine now. But I insisted that a new part was to be fitted anyway, which has just been done
