| M5 Extraordinare! | Whats the newest S/W version that MINI has now? V.43? V.45? later? Does anyone know whats the newest version software MINI has right now for our cars? I think I'm running V36 or maybe 39 after I got the emissions recall... But somtimes when I'm idling at a light my RPMs will drop really low and feels like the car is going to stall but it never does. I have to blip the throttle once or twice to get it back up to normal idling so i'm curious if anyone knows if there is a new software that fixes the problem. Anyone have a list of what each software version fixes? |

Offline | Software version No one answered the original question. I have an '04 MC with v.39. What is latest version and what improvements have taken place? I am due for service and I would like to know if I should request an upgrade. Thanks |

| M5 Extraordinare! | I noticed.. no one answered the origninal question. but I asked my friend whos in BMW STEP school right now... also a MINI owner... and he said its version 44. My car is in for service right now and I asked for the update but they sounded like they were un-will ing to give it to be when theres no "real" problem... Mine does stumble when decelerating and does get rought when getting on and off the gas while in gear. I'm going to push for it tomorrow and see waht they say. |

Offline | Mine does it too. what really annoys me though is that my car (02 model) was fine until I had it serviced, and they put this bug into it. when i complained about it the next day. gues what they said? they all do it. BMW are aware of it, but there's no fix yet. standard stuff. why can't they put it back how it was?I love Warsaw. Where else can you hug a pole? ![]() If you have any information, any information at all, please contact me as I'm writing an encyclopaedia. |

Offline | I’ve had the “dropping idle” for a couple of years. Every time it was in the shop for anything, the techs would try a new fix (engine harness, T-MAP sensor, injectors, and new software) to no avail. It’s long past warranty now and I’ve learned to live with it. I know one MINI locally (it would stall completely) to have all the sensors and engine harness replaced with success so it may not have been the same situation as mine. Some other instances I’ve read about had lights and fault codes generated at the same time which were corrected by replacing the T-MAP & MAP sensors. Once again maybe not the same issue. Here is some new information that may be more relevant. http://www.metroplexmini.org/forum/s...mble+Explained |

| M5 Extraordinare! | I was told by the advisor that the MINI does a purge every 50 mins and if I happened to be at a stop at idle I will notice the low RPMs I personally dont buy that but thats what they say and the tech said that my "car doesnt need an update" so they wont do it. My idle gets low and the car shakes but it has never stalled yet. I actually dont let it. Once I feel it I blip the throttle to raise the RPMs again and usually it returns to normal. SOmetimes it takes 2 or 3 blips. |
