Dashboard lights

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help. The indicator light on my mini cooper has stopped working and i wanted to replace it myself rather than take it to my local dealer which seems a bit ott. How on earth do i remove the panel that covers the instrument panel?

Also, the run flat light has come on, the problem is i don't have run flat tyres. It has come on before but i pressed the button under the hanbrake and it turned off. What is the correct way to press this to get the run flat light to turn off as i can't seem to do it this time?

Thanks in advance.

Andrew

Don't know about the indicator light, but the tyre pressure monitor may be activating because you have a slow leak; it also needs resetting everytime you put air in your tyres. The tyre pressure monitor works even if you do not have run-flats. It monitors the tyre rotation speed, and should the tyre vary from the computer established norm due to under inflation (the tyre, having less pressure, will rotate more often) the light will activate. I understand that it needs to be at a 30% pressuere loss to activatte the light.

The problem is that the tyre pressure is fine in all the tyres. Could a dink in one of the wheels cause the light to come on. I guess that would mess with the wheel rotation?

Thanks

Out of interest, how do you reset it?

Thanks

The re-set switch is located by the handbrake (as a symbol that matches the warning light).
