Offline | Rollup Window Glass Has anyone experienced their windows not responding to the door handle? I have had multiple occurences of this on the passenger side and the driver side as well. When my dealer replaced my the famous shift cable linkage (by the way my down time including the weekend is 5 days), I asked them to take a look at it. They said that the problem could not be replicated during the observation period. But when I got home to clean the car - they provide complimentary cleaning but left water marks on most of the glass areas - the passenger window did not respond to the door handle when I pulled it. I had to reset it by pressing my window switch down, and then up. This is dangerous because if one slams the door, like my son does (he needs more training), the window glass is liable to hit the door pillar and shatter. Well, if that happens, it's no longer a warranty issue but an insurance one because it will be difficult to prove otherwise. If you have had this problem and correction, please post what your dealer repaired/replaced, etc. |
