Offline | So many problems - elecric, door, handbrake, carpet..... Wanted to ask a strange question. Done 5000 miles in my Mini one, and there is a hole through the mat, straight through the carpet, through the insulating stuff and right up to the metal of the chasis underneath. There is also a massive slit at the lefthand side that goes in about 2 inches. Anyone else got this? Though it was me heels at first, but checked it and no way that it is. Is this a common problem? Also, My key electrics seem to have a mind of their own! Lock on unlock, unlock on lock. Lock it, come back and its open! My friend and my cousin have the same thing. Is this a known problem. My driver door sticks from the outside too and have to use two hands to open it. Had the old problem with the handbrake failure too rooled ito ramsiad barrier at work and trashed all the bonnet. Took for testing and they said was nothing wrong with the handbrake. Took car back to dealer several times with all the problems and they keep fobbing my off, what can I do please? |

Offline | No idea with the carpet, I assume it was like that from new? The windows etc. may be water/moisture in the body control unit, a trip to the dealer for that I'm afraid. There aint no party like my nana's tea party |

Offline | On the carpet front, I put my heels through the carpet on my last car (a Saxo) so was worried about this on the MINI. I had my car 18 months and had done over 10000 miles before I even started noticing a slight dent in the carpet. So the wear that you have seems premature. |

Offline | Thanks Xena I've asked them to make me an appointment with the Regional Service Manager, but they said they don't call him he calls them! And that he only comes in once a month and I would just have to wait until they find out when he will be coming!! That can't be right, surely? They must have a way of contacting the guy, right? Sureyl I shouldn't have to wait for them to decide that they wasnt to see me now? |
