Official BMW warranty issues

If you have a fault with your Mini and you think you are getting the run around from your dealer, try taking a look here:

http://www.alldata.com/tsb/BMW/index-issue.html

You might find your fault is actually well known to BMW!

ps Mini bulletins start with an M before the number.

NEW EDIT

I found the root directory with a lot more TSBs take a look at;

http://www.alldata.com/tsb/BMW/

http://web.archive.org/web/200410251...dex-issue.html

http://web.archive.org/web/200502092...dex-issue.html

As before, the Mini TSBs have to be sorted out from the other BMW.
I will also paste in a direct link further down the page.

Phew, I was too lazy to do that What a long list, and they're only recent. I think you have to subscribe to get the full list back to 2002.

Capsaisin, you are a GENIUS!!!

When I took my mini convertible for its 30k mile service to Stratstone Derby, I mentioned a gearbox noise at idle which disappears when you press the clutch. I got no response whatsoever, and now following your link, it seems it is a known fault and the dealer should replace the clutch if a customer complains!

Suffice to say, I will be making a visit tomorrow morning and complaining...

Thanks again!

I also found this which is quite interesting and covers many of the faults I have seen discussed on mini2

http://motoringfile.com/2006/03/02/a...visor-answers/

Hope it helps someone to combat the dastardly dealers.

Tsb Update

Just found this which seems to be the archive for all the BMW TSBs. Seems to cover quite a lot!!!!!!!!!!!

http://www.alldata.com/tsb/BMW/

http://web.archive.org/web/200410251...dex-issue.html

http://web.archive.org/web/200502092...dex-issue.html

As the previous link, the Mini TSBs have to be sorted out from all the others.

Hi, JDinho, can you do anything with this? A list like the last one would be a great help I think.

the acoustic feedback is a standard feature of the 2005 model year cooper S vehicle produced as of 7/2004. this feature cannot be retrofitted to the previous model year vehicles.

How do you retrofit a pop pop pop.....

As the alldata links have gone dead, does anyone have a link or copy of the PDF of the "M510506-Body - Cannot Open Door From Inside" TSB?
