Question Mention it or let it slide??

I picked up a new Mini the other week and noticed the side bolsters on the Recaro's where slightly creased as if someone had been sitting on them. I didn't bother mentioning it at the time as I didn't think anything could be done. But it is bugging me now so I kind of wish I had.

Should I mention it or let it slide?

i've done 7.5k over the last 4-5 months in mine and the sides aren't creasing too badly, obviously they are going to slightly with use, but the seat base is rippling up slightly.

I've seen a few sets of Recarros with this issue now, even on cars before been collected, so you are not alone with this issue

I'd raise it as an issue, as buying a new car is not cheap, and if you are bothered by something, no matter how small its worth pointing out

but yours were on the base of the seat, which is what that looks like to me, not the back of the seat?

the one i mentioned at the dealers was the door side of the passenger seat base, i can't say i have noticed it recently.

The only issue i have is the shoulder bits have yellowed slightly, need to have a go with the leather cleaner

All they will do is put new covers on the seat. I had this done once to some half leather seats and it never looked the same.

Really? Is this common? It's like they've been sitting on the bolsters during transporting/the PDI.

might be worth trying some leather conditioner on there first then, might make it less obvious

The other thing to think is that with time they will wear a crease like this anyway, my JCW's have, but its not what you would expect on a new car from pick up

That's why I didn't bother mentioning it.

It makes sense. They'll probably say it was me now.
