I accidentally scratched my white wing mirror along a truck on a very narrow road.

Luckily the scratches are also white but they do show.

Any ideas how to polish them out or not make them as noticeable?

Had same problem with my MCS,someone tried to touch it in but made a total hash of it.
Went on ebay and picked up a brand new cover for a tenner. Easy to fit too.
Think you can buy a pair on ebay for £20 at the moment.
Hope you get it sorted soon
