Just had the steering column in bits....

after gaining a small rubbing noise at 0-5mph right turning i searched this site to find all the steering column and replacement issues, now as my car is now 3 years old i believe the warranty will be no more, so i decided to have a look.

after all the messing and taking my mc apart i believe the noise is coming from the whit plastic grommit at the bottom of the inside steering column behind the pedals.

it is not rubbing on anything in the 'upper' column or underneath the car/in the engine bay.

anyone heard of these rubbing?? it is so small it ennoys me everytime

chris
