Offline | Leak in MINIs door. I have noticed that there is a damp, (No make that a very wet patch) on the floor on the passengers (left) side, just in front of the seat. The water seems to be coming in through the door as the inside of the door is dry but its underneath is very wet. (I hope you see what I mean! I am booking the car, a 2006 April build cabrio ONE into the dealers tomorrow. Anyone else suffer from this affliction? The leak I mean and not the dealer. ![]() as they said it was not a known fault. |

Offline | Latest. Took Carly (my MINI cabrio) into the UK dealers to see about this leak which soaked the passengers footwell. They found that the rain water was filling the seal at the bottom of the door and then overflowing into the passenger compartment. So new seal and new carpet under warranty. I pointed out that this problem has been discussed on this website which they didnt know about (Mods. Any brownie points for advertising the site?)but that in future they would look at MINI2 ![]() When I first took Carly to the dealers for this fault I asked that they made sure she spent the night beside another MINI as I didnt want her to be lonely as this was the first time she would be away from home . I got some funny looks when I went in to collect her, was attended (surrounded?) by 3 staff members and was plied with coffe and biscuits as I waited for her. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Offline | I have had a couple of leaks in my MINI, not sure where the first one actually came from, I didnt notice until one day when my electrics went completley mad, the front passenger side was damp and the dealer had to replace my carpets and seals. I also had another leak when water was getting in through my third brake light, but thats all fixed now too. I was told that MINIs have a bit of a reputation for leaking though Hope Carly's all better now! |
