Offline | Hi All, Just a little problem that I can't seem to figure out! My cleaning fluid for my windscreen ran out, and I filled it back up with water, but for some reason, the water still doesn't come out! The jets sound like they're working.. but no water.. Am I doing something wrong?!? The owner's manual didn't really help much.... |

| Me again | have you got an S with xenons by any chance? they have 2 resevoirs - one for the screen and the other for the lights - you may have filled the wrong 1? Just guessing here as its very unlikely all the jets would block at once. the windscreen bottle will be on the passenger side on your car. |

| Back To My Old Self | If this isn't the case it may be that you have a none return valve in the pipe that has stuck closed. These have failed on other cars I have owned and I guessing the MINI has one. It's a small inline 'valve' that is usually found in the area where the single pipe from the reservoir splits into two to go to the jets. They are usually only a few pence, just pull the pipe off either side and replace. ![]() |

Offline | soo rude.. I'm all Aussie here!!! yes.. drivers seat is on the right hand side, and we drive on the left side of the road!! Ohh and noo our toilets don't flush anti clockwise... and I DO NOT have a koala as a pet or ride a kangeroo to work.. any other speculations??Anyways.. yes I've filled up the "drivers" side to the top according to the owners manual, but when I pull the lever to spray the water, the light on the lever indicating the fluid levels kept flashing when I filled it up!!! Any known problems about that?!?! I can try the pin.. but if the light keeps flashing, then the water must've be going to where it's meant to go?! Humph, does this sound like the valve problem?? |

Offline | Just an update... after being puzzled for soo long, I filled up the tank again and again, and finally did it under some light, and saw it leak out straight from beneath (no I'm not blonde)!!! I think the mechanics didn't connect it or fiddled with it from last warranty check... Gotta take it back to dealer ... emailed them to get a time but no reply!!!! Wait till my exams are over, they're gonna get a very grumpy customer on the phone... such a bother.. thanks all for your kind help!! ![]() |
