Angry Mini Boot Problem

The Boot on our 2006 Mini Cooper opens randomly while driving.
It also opens sometimes when one is getting into the car.
Car has been towed to dealer, fortunately under warranty.
Dealer cannot find the problem. Has anyone had a similar problem?
I'm now thinking the problem could be in the key transmitter since we
have the regular set of keys still at home and sent the spare set to the
dealer 75 miles away

There have been a few posts about the boot opening randomly and I seem to remember that it was a short in the harness. Not an easy issue to troubleshoot, that is for sure.

I'm with MINI USA. I've passed this message on to a MINI National Customer Relations Representative who will be in touch with you soon.
